My love letter to Berlin.
My home away from home. A refuge. A place to get inspired, To feel lonely (which I think is not a bad thing at all). To wander the streets, to listen in on other people’s conversations.
Eavesdropping in the most literal sense, by recording those moments: people talking, kids playing, the sound of the rain, of birds, of traffic passing by, of tree branches brushing against an iron fence. Or the sound of me playing around with pieces of cobblestone from the sidewalks on Fehrbelliner Strasse.
So maybe, you could also call this album a city soundtrack, or even an audio diary. An immersive experience. Putting you in the seat next to me, sharing a beer, reminiscing on life or just discussing where to eat that night.
